Accreditation as a payments professional benefits both the individual and the organization that employs them. In the payments industry two national accreditation programs exist today - the Accredited ACH Professional (AAP) and the National Check Payments Certification (NCPC).
The AAP program affirms professional competence and subject area expertise for practitioners of Automated Clearing House (ACH) payments. Financial institution examiners and other regulators of the ACH Network accept the AAP credential as identifying those individuals who are highly skilled in their profession.
The NCPC focuses on check processing as a whole, with emphasis on operations, paper vs. image, product development, rules and laws that govern checks, industry standards, and fraud and risk mitigation.
